  1. Communicate with your builder or new home provider so that they are aware of the issues you are experiencing with your property. This gives them an opportunity to put things right and can often lead to many disputes being solved quickly and amicably.
  2. Get a second opinion from another industry expert. If possible, call in another builder or contractor to get a quote on the cost of repairs or what it would take to correct the issue you are experiencing. This will be useful for your information and can also be used as documentation for any insurance claims further down the line.
  3. Keep a record of interactions. It is helpful to document all communication that you have had with your home builder, even if you think it may not be relevant
